  2. Something rises to fill it

  3. In this case it came from Aberdeen WA.

  4. They played for themselves

  5. Then they played for a few more people

  6. They were just regular guys

  7. Who got big

  8. With them and this song, the “scene” happened

  9. And then they played for a whole lot of people

  10. It was a way to revolt against authority

  11. It was what everybody was doing

  12. I asked for a Nirvana CD for my birthday

  13. I had never heard their music before

  14. People like me were the reason the “scene” rose so fast and ended so quickly

  15. Somehow it wasn’t about the music anymore

  16. Upon the shoulders of “loyal” fans like me the “scene” rested

  17. And not surprisingly

  18. It ended

  19. Now we have the music without the “scene”

  20. Like the way it once was

  21. The lesson of the Seattle music scene:

  22. Be careful what you wish for

  23. Because sometimes it comes true
