Model Answer Writing I know that Greece is very famous for Greek gods and goddesses. It is also famous for Greek philosophers, like Socrates and Plato. I know about many Greek gods and goddesses. Greek people made up stories to explain why different things happened. For example, Zeus is the god of thunder and lightning. Whenever there was thunder and lightning, this meant that Zeus was angry. Other Greek gods and goddesses I know of are Apollo, Aphrodite, Hera, Poseidon, and Hades. Apollo is the god of the sun, Aphrodite is the goddess of love, Hera is the goddess of marriage, Poseidon is the god of the sea and Hades is the god of the underworld. Greece has many ruins that you can still see today. One famous ruin is the Acropolis. This is a set of ruins that overlook the city of Athens. The Parthenon and the Amphitheatre are just two of the famous ruins in the Acropolis. I hope that one day I am able to visit Greece. Then, I would be able to see all the ruins in the Acropolis.
