  1. Teeth Which drink will keep your teeth healthy?

  2. You will need:- What to do:- • Plastic cups • A selection of drinks • Egg shells • Somewhere to keep your cups • A camera • Place each drink inside a plastic cup. Label the cups. • Break the eggs in half. Empty the yolk away and break the shells in half. Put one half in each plastic cup with the drink. • Store the plastic cups together, in the same place. • Take photographs of the egg shells after a week and after two weeks.

  3. As James carefully examined the egg shell he could clearly see how the sugar had eaten away and decayed the enamel of the shell. He now knew how important it would be to brush his teeth well after he had had a sugary drink!

  4. The milk had not caused so much damage to the egg shell but what a smell! The shell of the egg was not cracked or discoloured.

  5. Do you think Coke is a healthy drink? Do you think any fizzy, sugary drinks are good for our teeth? What is important is that YOU remember to brush your teeth well after you have had any sugary foods or drinks. Look after your teeth!

  6. HOW DISGUSTING! Look after your teeth, you need them. DOVES now realise how important it is to brush your teeth well at least twice a day.

  7. We voted Coke and Blackcurrant Juice as the most unhealthy drinks with water as the drink that caused least damage to our teeth. Brush your teeth DAILY and visit your dentist REGULARLY to keep a happy healthy smile. DOVES
