  3. Very bright • High magnetic forcefield Characteristics

  4. 247,925 trillion milesaway from Earth • Located in the MilkyWay Galaxy Location

  5. Star closest to Earth • 4.2 light years away Location

  6. .006% of the Sun'sbrightness • 10% of the Earth'smass Size/Temperature/Brightness

  7. 3,000 degreesfarenheit • More than 85% of it'sradiated power produced by light Size/Temperature/Brightness

  8. Discovered in 1915 byscientist Robert Innes • Proxima is a Latinword meaning “near” or “nearest to” Fun Facts!

  9. Part of the Triple StarSystem (thirdmember) • So small scientistscan't estimate the measure • Located in theconstellationCentaurus Fun Facts!

  10. I have enjoyed my research on Proxima Centauri, one of the many stars in our solar system. I thought it was a very interesting topic to learn about because I never would of thought that it had that much imformation that was so useful. I think sciencetists will continue research on this star because it is one of the most important stars being the closest to Earth and many other planets. Reflection
