  2. These Comments to Religious Leaders • Who trusted in themselves. • We should trust self, just not too much. • “We are Abraham’s children…” • But the point is, Satan lies! • To Eve. What about the “rebellion” in heaven? Did he lie to angels too (Rev. 12:7). • And to us about many things.

  3. It’s OK to Worry About the Big Stuff • Matt. 6:25-34 • Value the day you have – v. 34 “Carpe Diem”? • Worry is an enemy – John 10:10 • Robs us of joy and usefulness. Plan, YES; Worry, NO. • Take responsibility for your NOW. But invite God to “help” – Matt. 6:11 – “Daily” bread. • Worry calls God a liar. We’re saying He doesn’t care for us. Isaiah 40:12

  4. Your Family Knows You Love Them • We’re with them “all the time”? No, even when we’re together, we’re not “with” them. • “The Five Love Languages” (Gary Chapman) 1) Words of Affirmation; 2) Quality Time; 3) Gifts of Love; 4) Acts of Service; 5) Physical touch. • “Let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions” I John 3:18 (LB) • Prov. 27:5 – “Better is open rebuke than love that is hidden”.

  5. You Can’t Change! • Jer. 13:23 – Men can’t change. God can make the difference. • Col. 1:6 – The gospel bears fruit. “New Creatures”. • A partnership with God – Col. 1:27-29 • Change begins with a new focal point – Col. 3:1-3 • Fight the old nature – Col. 3:5-9 • Imitate Christ – Col. 3:12-14
