Permissible works under MGNREGA after addition of New works (i) water conservation and water harvesting includingcontour trenches, contour bunds, boulder checks, gabionstructures, underground dykes, earthen dams, stop damsand springshed development; (ii) drought proofing including afforestation and treeplantation; (iii) irrigation canals including micro and minorirrigation works;

Permissible works under MGNREGA after addition of New works (iv) Works on private land of SC/ST/BPL/SF/MFprovision of irrigation facility, dug out farm pond,horticulture, plantation, farm bunding and landdevelopment (v) renovation of traditional water bodies including desilting of tanks (vi) land development;

  7. Permissible works under MGNREGA after addition of New works Vii) flood control and protection works including drainage in water loggedareas including deepening and repairing of flood channels, chaur renovation,construction of storm water drains for coastal protection; (viii) rural connectivity to provide all weather access, including culverts androads within a village, wherever necessary; (ix) construction of Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Sewa Kendra asKnowledge Resource Centre at the Block level and as Gram PanchayatBhawan at the Gram Panchayat level;

Permissible works under MGNREGA after addition of of New works x) agriculture related works, such as, NADEP composting, vermi-composting, liquid bio-manures; (xi) livestock related works, such as, poultry shelter, goat shelter, construction of pucca floor, urine tank and fodder trough for cattle, azolla as cattle-feed supplement; (xii) fisheries related works, such as, fisheries in seasonal water bodies onpublic land;

Permissible works under MGNREGA after addition of New works xiii) works in coastal areas, such as, fish drying yards, belt vegetation; (xiv) rural drinking water related works, such as, soak pits, recharge pits; (xv) rural sanitation related works, such as, individual household latrines, school toilet units, anganwadi toilets, solid and liquid waste management;

BUILDINGS I/cSCHOOLS - CONTOUR TRENCHING, BUNDING ETC – FOREST DEPARTMENT - SPRING SHED DEVELOPMENT – FOREST / IPH DEPARTMENT (sikkimsprings.org) II) DROUGHT PROOFING I/c AFFORESTATION AND TREE PLANTATION - FOREST, PWD, AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE, SOIL CONSERVATION , SERICULTURE - MUZAFFARPUR MODEL - AVENUE PLANTATION ALONG PMGSY, FOREST & RURAL ROADS. - PLANTATION AROUND WATER SOURCES BY IPH DEPARTMENT - FENCING-i/c BAMBOO TREEGUARDS PERMITTED - FODDER PLANTATION

III) IRRIGATION CANALS I/c MICRO & MINOR IRRIGATION WORKS - IPH, SOIL CONSERVATION - RENOVATION OF EXISTING KUHALS IV) irrigation facility, dug out farm pond,horticulture, plantation, farm bunding and landdevelopment FOR INDIVIDUAL BENEFICIARIES - HORTICULTURE, SOIL CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT. - HORTICULTURE PLANTATION ,IRRIGATION FACILITIES(I/cROOF TOP WATER HARVESTING TANKS, SERICULTURE PLANTATION - POLY LINED TANKS

  13. V) RENOVATION OF TRADITIONAL WATER BODIES - IPH, SOIL CONSERVATION VI) LAND DEVELOPMENT - FOREST, AGRICULTURE, SOIL CONSERVATION - ERADICATION OF WEEDS (LANTANA, CONGRESS GRASS, BLUE CLOVER CANABIS) TO BE FOLLOWED BY PLANTATION

VII) FLOOD CONTROL AND PROTECTION WORKS - IPH, SOIL CONSERVATION, PWD. - MAND AREA VIII) RURAL CONNECTIVITY - PWD - ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, NEW LINK ROADS- GRAVEL & WBM - ROADS CAN BE UPTO 3 METERS WIDE & PROVISION OF CROSS DRAINAGE, CULVERTS ETC. - BLACK SPOT TREATMENT & PARAPETS - CONVERGENCE WITH EXISTING SCHEMES
