  1. WHY DOES YOUR DRIVESHAFT MAKE NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING

  2. Every car has atleastone differential that allows the wheels to move & rotate.

  3. As the engine is running, power goes into the transmission which then rotates the driveshaft.

  4. The driveshaft then transfers power to the differentials which allow the wheels to rotate.

  5. Here are the reasons behind your driveshaft making noise when accelerating.

  6. The driveshaft has a tube that spins in the middle as the car is in motion. TUBING FAILURE

  7. If the car carries too much load, then the tube will start to fail.

  8. The first signs of this failing tube will be clunking noises or other strange sounds.

  9. You must lighten your load and get your car inspected.

  10. A failing universal joint will also cause the driveshaft to get loose & dislocated. LOOSE DRIVESHAFT

  11. This will cause even more noticeable noise from your car.

  12. Each time you press the brake pedal or turn the steering, the noise will get louder.

  13. This will also affect the differentials & wheels as they will not receive any rotational energy.

  14. There are rubber bearings in your driveshaft that help in its functioning. MALFUNCTIONING BEARINGS

  15. The rubber bearings help in connecting multiple areas of the driveshaft.

  16. If any of these bearings malfunction, then your driveshaft will make noise.

  17. Moreover, you will also experience vibrations coming from your car.

  18. The driveshaft is an important part of your car. CONCLUSION

  19. Take your car to a certified repair shop to fix the issues.
