Interception • When it rains over a catchment not all the precipitation falls directly onto the ground. Before it reaches the ground, a part of it may be caught by the vegetation and subsequently evaporated. The volume of water so caught is called interception. The intercepted precipitation may follow one of the three possible routes: • 1. It may be retained by the vegetation as surface storage and returned to the atmosphere by evaporation, a process termed interception loss. • 2. It can drip off the plant leaves to join the ground surface or the surface flow; this is known as through fall; and • 3. The rainwater may run along the leaves and branches and down the stem to reach the ground surface. This part is called stem flow.
برگاب • هنگامی که باران در سطح حوزه اتفاق می افتد، تمامی بارش به طور مستقیم قبل از رسیدن به زمین در سطح زمین جاری نمی شود، بخشی از آن توسط گیاهان گرفته شده و متعاقباً تبخیر می شود. حجم آب گرفته شده تحت عنوان برگاب می باشد. بارش گرفته شده توسط برگهای گیاهان یکی از سه گزینه زیر را دنبال می کند: • 1. چنانچه پوشش گیاهی به عنوان ذخیره سطحی نگهداشته شده و توسط تبخیر به اتمسفر بازگردانده شود، این فرآیند تحت عنوان افت برگاب محسوب می شود. • 2. قطراتی از بارندگی که از برگهای گیاهان وارد سطح زمین شده یا در سطح زمین جریان می یابد به عنوان میان بارش شناخته می شوند. • 3. مقدار آبی که به صورت جریان از شاخ و برگ و ساقه به سمت زمین حرکت می کند جریان ساقه ای نامیده می شود.
تفاوت in time و :on time In time به معنای «به موقع» است ولی هنوز مدتی وقت باقی مانده است. I didn’t go an interview because I didn’t send them the answer in time. On time به معنای «به موقع» است ولی دیگر وقت باقی نمانده است. Concerts never start on time. بیان تعجب: برای بیان تعجب از ساختار زیر استفاده می شود. توجه کنید که در پایان جملات تعجبی علامت تعجب(!) و نه علامت سوال(؟) وجود دارد و صورت جمله نیز سوالی نیست. How + قید/ صفت + فاعل + فعل Ex: How cold it is today!
