  2. Goals (مقاصد) • الله کے ناپسندیدہ رویوں کا تجزیہ کر کے، برے رویوں کو دور اور اچھے کو اپنانا ہے • قبلہ کی تبدیلی کی حکمت • امت وسط کی حیثیت کو جان سکیں • حق کی گواہی کی حکمت کو جان سکیں • قبلہ بدلہ امت بدلی

  3. Main Topicsof Verses • Qiblah(direction in prayers): 2:[142] • The order of Allah to change Qiblah. 2:[143] • The Ka'bah in Makkah was made the new Qiblah. 2:[144-147]

  4. Background of Verses… Changing the Qiblah from Bayt Al-Maqdis to the Ka`bah

  5. سَيَقُولُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَا وَلَّٮٰهُمVerse [142]ۡ • migrated to Al-Madinah • Allah commanded him to face Bayt Al-Maqdis • The Jews were delighted then • Allah's Messenger faced Jerusalem for over ten months

  6. Continued...... • However, he liked (to offer prayer in the direction of) Prophet Ibrahim's Qiblah (the Ka`bah in Makkah) • and used to supplicate to Allah and kept looking up to the sky (awaiting Allah's command in this regard)

  8. Continued.... • وَمَن يَرۡغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبۡرَٲهِـۧمَ • Jews • Christians • Idolators • hypocrites, ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ

  9. Continued..... • among the people will say. مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ

  10. Continued.......... • What has turned them (Muslims) from their Qiblah • What was the Reason? مَا وَلَّٮٰهُمۡ

  11. Continued...... • BaytAl-Maqdis عَن قِبۡلَتِہِمُ

  12. ﴿مَا وَلَّـهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِى كَانُواْ عَلَيْهَا﴾ • They asked, "What is the matter with these people (Muslims) who one time face this direction (Jerusalem), and then face that direction (Makkah)''

  13. Conclusion... Allah answered their questions when He stated: • ﴿قُل لّلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ﴾ meaning, the command, the decision and the authority are for Allah Alone

  14. يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَى صِرَطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ہدایت اسے ملتی ہے جو خود ہدایت پر آنا چاہۓ. • He guides whom He wills to the straight way.''

  16. وَكَذَٲلِكَ جَعَلۡنَـٰكُمۡ أُمَّةً۬ وَسَطً۬ا لِّتَڪُونُواْ أُمَّةً۬ وَسَطً۬ا • The word Wasat in the Ayah means the best and the most honored. • the best nation • Ummahjustlybalanced • Rope between allah and the other ummah

  20. Continued........ Implementation and moderation of worship (عمل اور عبادت کا اعتدال ) • Islam is the most balanced religion, by faith • To acceptonlyone Allah • accept all theprophets

  23. شُہَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ • to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind • you be witnesses over mankind

  24. ٱلرَّسُولُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ شَهِيدً۬ • on the Day of Resurrection (Prophet) may be a witness over their nations • will be asked, `Have you conveyed (the Message) • `No warner came to us and no one (Prophet) was sent to us.

  25. Continued....... • Prophet will be asked, `Who testifies for you' He will say, `Muhammad and his Ummah. • Our Prophet (Muhammad) came to us and told us that the Messengers have conveyed (their Messages • will testify on the basis of knowledge

  26. Three types of Jews Jealous • Fridayworship • On qiblah • To sayameen

  27. وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا ٱلۡقِبۡلَةَ ٱلَّتِى • The Wisdom behind changing the Qiblah • To know who is prophetfollower • ProphetsdesirePlace noimportance, butAllah'scommandTest ofthe Muslim Ummah

  28. To typer av ilm • Ilmayghaib • Ilmayzahoor

  29. مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ • from those who would turn on their heels. • reverts from his religion • from the faith

  30. Continued.... • Allah then said: وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً • Indeed it was great (heavy, difficult)

  31. وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَـنَكُمْ • (And Allah would never make your faith to be lost.) • the reward of your prayers towards Bayt Al-Maqdis before would not be lost with Allah.

  32. Continued..... إِيمَـٰنَكُمۡ‌ۚ نماز کی اھمیت کے لیے کل بول کر جز مراد ہے نماز نہیں تو ایمان نہیں

  33. إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ (Truly, Allah is full of kindness, the Most Merciful towards mankind.)''

  34. قَدۡ نَرَىٰ تَقَلُّبَ وَجۡهِكَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ‌ • Allah's Messenger faced BaytAl-Maqdis for ten and some months • but he liked to face the Qiblah of Ibrahim (Ka`bah in Makkah). • He used to supplicate to Allah and look up to the sky • awaitingAllah'scommand • Then Allah revealed

  35. Continued.... فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ Turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction.

  36. Continued....... • The Jews did not like this ruling and said ﴿مَا وَلَّـهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِى كَانُواْ عَلَيْهَا قُل لّلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ﴾

  37. فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ • so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haram (at Makkah) meansitsdirection.''

  38. وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ • And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction • A command from Allah to face the Ka`bah from wherever one is on the earth: the east, west, north or south

  39. وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَـبَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ • The Jews had Knowledge that the (Muslim) Qiblah would later be changed • The Jews read in their Books their Prophets' description of Allah's Messenger and his Ummah • the People of the Book deny these facts because of their envy, disbelief and rebellion.

  40. ﴿وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَـفِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾ • Allah threatened them when He said: And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

  41. Next Verse................. Verse [145]

  42. وَلَٮِٕنۡ أَتَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ بِكُل • The Stubbornness and Disbelief of the Jews • if the Prophet brought forward every proof to the truth of what he was sent with, they will never obey him

  43. Allah said • nor are you going to follow their Qiblah • they would not follow your Qiblah

  44. Continued........ if you follow their desires after that which you have received of knowledge (from Allah), then indeed you will be one of the wrongdoers ﴿وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذَا لَّمِنَ الظَّـلِمِينَ﴾

  45. Next Verse.......... Verse [146]

  46. ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ يَعۡرِفُونَهُ The Jews know that the Prophet is True, but they hide the Truth

  47. Continued...... يَعۡرِفُونَ just as one of them knows his own child,

  48. ﴿لَيَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ﴾ They hide the truth from the people, about the Prophet , that they find in their Books

  49. Continued...... وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ whilethey know it.
