  2. Plot Plot What happened in the beginning of the book? In the beginning of the book, Hector Jones doesn’t want the McBroom’s to stay at his old farm so he says he wanted a white moth, They make a little forest with no shade and catch the moths. What happened in the middle of the book? In the middle of the book, a big wind comes along while the young’uns were playing outside on the clothesline . They get them down and their all right. What happened at the end of the book? In the end of the book, millions of millions of grasshoppers come and eat all the crops. They missed one ear of corn and it wins a ribbon. Return to Homepage

  4. Characters Write the name of each main character and a sentence that tells about them. Put each character on a new line. The main character is the young’uns. I think they are all fearless.   5. Genre What genre is your book? Fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, horror, humor, mythology, realistic fiction, adventure? Why did you choose that genre? Give an example from the book that supports the genre you chose. I think the genre is fiction. In the story it said the big ear of corn popped when it was a really hot room.
