  2. Vietnam War • The Vietnam War was the first “television war” where television provided the nation with images directly from the warfront. These images were, however, skewed to fit the views of the television station.

  3. Reporters on the Warfront • The Vietnam War was the first war that had reporters on the frontlines with the soldiers, a common practice by today’s news networks

  4. Skewing of reports • The reports were often skewed or totally made up. Some of the reports of the attack on the US embassy were completely false. The attack on the embassy was a few Vietcong members attacking the embassy and was over in a few hours. The news reported that it was a big battle that took all day.

  5. Newspapers • Newspapers provided more accurate reports on the war. They reached less people however.

  6. Media During the Vietnam War • Media skewed the views of American citizens and caused the Vietnam War to be the first war that American citizens did not support
