Starting September 8, 2014 we will be tracking student tardies. For those students that have zero tardies for each nine weeks they will be able to attend our GPE “No tardy parties.” It is imperative for our students to be on time every day. District Cell Phone Policy Students are asked to have their cell phones off, and stored away, during the school day and on district transportation. Consequences for improper cell phone use are as follows. First and second time, parents will be notified to come and pick up the phone. On the third offense, the phone will be held for two weeks, and there will be a $10.00 fee. Required Background Check Please be aware that all parents and other adult family members that wish to attend a GPE field trip, must complete a district background check. This form is available in the office and must be turned in at least five days before the field trip. No parents may attend without an approved background check. This is for the safety of our students. District-Wide Parent Meeting GPISD will host their Title 1 parent involvement meeting on September 22, at 9:00 am. Citizenship September Important Dates: Citizenship to our students means following the rules, respecting authority, and learning from and appreciating people that are different than me.
