  2. The hong kong disney In 1955, Walt Disney created a place for the young and young at heart to have fun together, which he called Disneyland. And now, Hong Kong Disneyland continues this tradition with classic Disney attractions, unique shops and restaurants, dazzling live entertainment in a delightful, magical setting.

  3. So, do you know about the details of The Hong Kong Disney?

Project Overview: The Hong Kong Disneyland project was announced in November 1999 as a venture between The Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong SAR Government and scheduled to open on 12 September 2005, and will be a leading family attraction in Asia. The Phase I build-out includes a 10 million annual visitor Disneyland-based theme park, 2,100 hotel rooms, and a 28,000 square meters (300,000 square foot) retail, dining and entertainment complex.

Location: Overlooking the water at Penny's Bay, and on a main transit route from the new Hong Kong International Airport, the project will position Lantau Island as a world-class tourist destination. The Disney resort site will take advantage of the location's easy access by rail, highway and ferry to attract guests to the park. It is located 10 minutes from the new airport (also on Lantau Island) and 30 minutes from downtown Hong Kong.

  8. The economic benefits: • There will be more jobs. • The government estimated there is 18 400 position when the Disney open. After 20 years, the position will add to 35 800. Also, during the Disney’s construction, about 10000 positions are created.

Reduce the unemployment: With the employers of the Disney are almost Hong Kong people, the unemployment will fall. • More tourist: The government figure that there will be more 5 millions tourist in the first year and the tourists will be more in the future. After 15 years, the tourist will reach to10 millions.

  10. Advance the tourism: As the result of the increase of tourists, it will advances the tourism. Also, it will advance the hotels, retail business, catering trade too. The Hong Kong’s economic will be better. • The financial deficit will fall: With the tourism advance the economics, it will raise the government’s revenue. So, the financial deficit will relatively decrease.

  11. Stable revenue • Enhance Hong Kong’s attraction: Owing to the build up of the famous Disney, Hong Kong become a key tourist destination in Asia and the world. Then it will attracts more investors to Hong Kong too.

  13. Environmental problems: • Water pollution: As building up Disney need reclamation, it will pollute the sea. • Harmful to the marine animals: Doing the reclamation project, the industrial waste will pollute the sea. It is harmful to the marine animals, they will even die.

  15. Do you know that before building the Disney, there are so many varies of public reaction? Some people agree the project, but some disagree it. Now, we will tell you about our feeling of the Disney’s construction in Hong Kong.

  16. We know that building up the Disney will damage the environment acutely. Also, pretty of animals, plants will be killed and finally the sufferer will be us. However, constructing the Disney, it will bring various of economic benefits. It can provide lots of job opportunities, solve the extended serious unemployment, bring a stable revenue, advance the Hong Kong tourism and so on.

  17. Besides, Disney is everyone’s dream place. As building up a Disney in Hong Kong, we don’t need to pay so much money to travel the other countries in order to visit Disney.

  18. As the result, we agree with constructing Disney in Hong Kong. Though we know we are so selfish to say this and the nature will so poor, we think the economic benefits are rather important than the environmental problems by now.

  19. Still, we must protect the environment by other ways to save our world. As, we are the member of the earth. We don’t feel like our wonderful world will be killed on our own. Don’t be a killer of the world, but be a savior. By the way, hoping the Hong Kong Disney will bring you a myriad of fun and enjoying visiting the Hong Kong Disney!
