  1. In my 35 years as a registered nurse, I consider myself fortunate that more experienced nurses helped me through challenging times. The first study used the physical intervention of massage therapy over a 5 week period for nurses in a hospital facility (Bost & Wallis, 2006). They may practice in settings such as hospitals, birthing centers and patient homes. Nurse managers are responsible for supervising nursing staff in a hospital or clinical setting. To say this trend is creating new opportunities for midwives in hospitals, birthing centers, private practices and even home-based care would be an understatement: The Mayo Clinic reports that demand for nurse midwives has grown exponentially in the last two decades and is expected to soar through at least 2022. As a nurse, you have a responsibility to your profession and your community that appropriate health care policies are developed and utilized. Consider the recent events when the hosts of a daytime talk show created controversy after they made light of nursing as a valued profession. As all specialties of nursing encompasses a passion for the increasing well-being of patients, a desire to provide specialized skills, Money and a desire to grow as a nurse. Occupational health nursing is a specialty practice that provides for and delivers health and safety programs and services to workers, workers' population and the community. Participants stated that all professionals need to discuss and influence patient care on the basis of their own expertise. Another quality identified by Joel & Kelly (2002) is that a profession must have an established code of ethics that guides the profession as well as defines the relationship between professional and client. It is considered as one of the most highly paying and respected job in the healthcare industry. ER was one of the most popular shows at the time, and its portrayal of nurses, while positive in some ways, gave credit to physicians for the vast majority of vital nursing work.
