  2. Dear Second Graders, We love his books. We read them all the time. Who really was this man known all around the world as Dr. Seuss? Enjoy this webquest I created for you and learn more about this incredible author and illustrator known all around the world as Dr. Seuss. Happy Exploring, Ms. Sireno

  3. You will be assigned to a Dr. Seuss webquestteam. You will need to decide who will be doing which of the following tasks. Reader: You will read out loud to the other members the information on the websites you will view.Recorder: You will write down what your group has learned from the website on the worksheet given to you by your teacher. Supplier: You will gather the supplies that your group will need to complete the project. This may be paper, crayons, and printed copies. Reporter: You will report to the rest of the class what your group has learned.

  4. Dr. Seuss had a birthday just like we do. Click on the birthday caketo visit a website that will help you answer: 1) When was Dr. Seuss born? 2)What special event happens on his birthday? Find the links where you can print: -a Cat in the Hat door knob holder - a Dr. Seuss read and color word search Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Color in the state where we live. What was the name of his very first published book? How many books did he write and illustrate in all?

  6. Dr. Seuss is no longer with us but he is honored and remembered in many ways. Try to find the answers to the following questions. • Where can you find bronze sculptures of Dr. Seuss and his characters? • List 5 bronzed Dr. Seuss characters found there. • Who created the bronze sculptures and how is the person related to Dr. Seuss?
