Conductors Conductors are materials that allow the flow of heat or electricity from atom to atom or from molecule to molecule. Conductors are used when the flow of heat or electricity is desirable.
Insulators Insulators are materials that stop the flow of heat or electricity from atom to atom or molecule to molecule. Insulators are used to protect against the dangerous effects of heat or electricity flowing in a conductor.
