  16. 3GPP meetings • Meeting types • There are two basic types of meeting for all technical groups (TSGs and WGs): • Ordinary • Ad hoc* • Attendance at Ordinary meetings will acquire and retain voting rights for Individual Member organizations. • Attendance at Ad hoc meetings has no bearing on voting rights. * Meeting types are described more fully in the TSG Working Procedures, article 30 and annex F. http://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Information/Working_Procedures/3GPP_WP.htm

  18. 3GPP meetings • As well as physical meetings, 3GPP groups can hold electronic meetings. These are generally informal affairs, without recorded attendance lists and may have no formal minutes. But they are usually moderated by the group’s chairman (or a work item rapporteur, or …) who will generally produce a summary of the conclusions. • Electronic meetings might consist of an exchange of emails; or … • A teleconference; or … • A (video) chat session; or …

  19. 3GPP meetings • Participation in electronic meetings, or electronic participation in a face to face meeting does not count towards the acquisition or maintenance of voting rights.
