  4. Take the words of prophecy in their normal literal, grammatical sense

  5. Recognize the importance of the biblical covenants :

  6. An Example • The Abrahamic Covenant is unconditional, eternal, unilateral, literal

  7. When the normal sense makes good sense, seek no other sense.

  8. Be aware of time gaps • Example : • Dan. 9:24-27; • John 5:28,29

  9. Always interpret a seemingly vague passage in light of a clear passage related to it.

  10. An Example • On the issue of salvation : Compare Eph. 2:8,9 with Phil. 2:12. It is clear salvation is not based on works!
