  1. ACE 3143/42190 Exam Preparation and Revision There are 10 questions on the exam paper. (In this exercise arranged according to lecture outline.) YOU MUST ANSWER 5 QUESTIONS Questions 4 and 10 offer a CHOICE of question. Career Bridge students must NOT answer question 7. All questions relate to material covered in the lectures and the textbook. All questions require you to comment on the issues raised and perhaps reflect on their relevance to your experience.

  2. Question 1 Communication in the workplace This lecture drew on Mohan et al., pp.9-20. It examined how our‘mental set’ makes us selective in what we understand and in how we communicate. It explored what Mohan meant by selective perception. It also examined the examples used to explain the impact of selective perception on our communication . It asked the question ‘Why is selective perception significant in the communication process?’
