  3. Reasons behind characters’ actions in the major event(I) • Macbeth killed the twoservants.(P.24,lines 21-22) -He wanted to cover up that he had killed the king.(P. 24,lines 23-29)

  4. Reasons behind characters’ actions in the major event(II) • Macbeth paid three men to kill Banquo and his son, Fleance.(P.25,line 33-P.26, line 1) -Macbeth and Banquo met the three witches. And Macbeth afraid what the witches had said that the kingdom would one day be ruled by Banquo’s family.(P.25,lines 14-20)

  5. Reasons behind characters’ behaviors in the major event • Mathbeth saw Bacquo’s ghost in the feast. (p.26, lines 16-17) -Macbeth had a guilty conscience of paying three men to kill Banquo and his son. (p. 27, lines 7-11)
