  1. WHAT IS MRI SCAN? Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a type of scanning that uses attractive solid fields and radio waves to provide detailed images of the inside of the body. An MRI scanner is a huge cylinder that contains incredible magnets. You lie inside the cylinder during the exit.
