  2. What sort of topics? Some examples…. • The effect of leading questions on memory of a film clip • The effect of chunking on the recall of letters in STM • A questionnaire study on the relationship between “hassles” and illness • A conformity study (using written answers)

  3. What topics should I avoid? • Lots of ethical problems likely with developmental psychology and individual differences • In any study, try to design it to avoid ethical problems

  4. For July 20th: Research decisions Design statement Research Aim & Plan For Sept 8th: Pilot (holidays) Project brief proposal (in class) Introduction References NEXT GOALS

  5. KEY DATES NEXT TERM • First complete draft – October 6th • Last draft – November 3rd • Completed submission – December 4th
