SAPC - Mission The South Asian Pharmaceutical Council mission is to harness the energy of the South Asians in the Pharmaceutical industry, in order to: • Foster a sense of “community” among “South Asians” in the Pharma Industry • Provide a forum for “mentoring” junior members who are in /aspiring to join the Pharma Industry • Support initiatives aimed at improving healthcare education and access to healthcare in South Asia • Sponsor meetings and conferences that advance learning in the area of Pharmaceutical Marketing and Sciences • Advance the leadership, networking and professional development of South Asians in Pharma industry • Promote and highlight achievement of South Asians in the Pharma industry.

Key Elements of the Mission • The SAPC Mission has three key elements: • Help enhance the success of South Asian pharmaceutical professionals • Networking opportunities across functions & organizations • Mentoring opportunities for South Asian professionals already in planning to join the pharmaceutical industry • Make a difference in South Asia by sponsoring healthcare initiatives • Enhancing healthcare education in institutions • Improving healthcare access for people • Advancing pharmaceutical knowledge & insights • Research on industry marketing and science issues • Sharing with and learning from experts

  10. Mark Stevens President SAPC • Exec. Director – Strategic Business Planning & Analysis at Organon USA • 17 years of healthcare industry experience in the US with major pharma companies (Novartis/BMS/Sanofi-Aventis) • Passion to “serve” and give back to roots.

  11. Jaideep Bajaj Vice President SAPC Jaideep Bajaj is the Managing Director of ZS Associates, a sales and marketing consulting company with a focus on the healthcare sector. He has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical consulting. Jaideep has an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an MS in Operations Research from Columbia University. He also has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, India. Jaideep is the Vice-President of SAPC and joined the SAPC to find meaningful ways to give back to South Asia.

Today, marketRx has over 70 customers and over 350 employees across 6 global offices. • Jassi is winner of several awards including “Entrepreneur • of the Year” by Ernst & Young’s and “Forty under 40” by NJBiz magazine.

Alok Sonig Program Chair SAPC - Nearly 15 years of experience in consulting, brand strategy and planning, and market research - Last 9 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb; Currently Senior Director, CV/Metabolics Market Research - Keenly interested in sports: Cricket, Tennis, and Golf - Reason why I'm committed to SAPC is to help advance leadership, networking, and professional development of South Asians in the Pharma industry.
