  1. What are the possible problems of the Sewage Treatment Plant? Sewage Treatment Plant is designed with utmost precision and attention with the help of advanced technologies and quality tested equipment to ensure long functional life and hassle-free performance. If you are using Sewage Treatment Plant (STPs) then, you should know some common problems associated with this. 1. Sewage Blower or Pump Fail to Switch On In case, if the blower or pump isn’t turning on then, the working efficiency of your system will get down and the plant won’t work. You will be notified by an alarm on your control panel if something isn’t right. There are various causes that include a tripped breaker, defective or damaged equipment, electricity issues, and overheating as well. If you choose to reset the breaker to ensure that there is no way that the blower would overheat. 2. The Blower Stops and Re-starts Unsteadily

  2. If the blower is functioning in a defective erratic way then, you will not be able to operate your plant efficiently and smoothly. This erratic blower basically happens because of overheating and it should disable automatically when it cools down. You will need to make sure that vent is blocked and clearing it, if yes then, try and protect your system from direct sunlight. Also, you can replace the filter or parts which are damaged or also fix any electrical fault. 3. The blower is Functioning but Not Pumping Air The blower helps to monitor the airflow to your plant and ventilation for the aerobic waste breakdown. If the blower isn’t providing air properly then the working efficiency goes down and the bacteria can die off which breaks down the waste in the aerobic processing. This error might happen when the filter is blocked or the blower gets damaged or it is not getting a proper power supply. Fix these issues. 4. Alarm Sounds Continuously It is a fact that all plants are equipped with an alarm and a buzzer that works effectively to alert you in case of any air blower fault or in case of discharge pump. The buzzer has the capability to be muted unless the issue gets resolved and when fixed then, the alarm will automatically reset and the muted switch should be disabled. To fix this, you will need to fix the electricity-related issue. 5. Treated Effluent isn’t Able to Meet the Target of Biochemical Oxygen Demand Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) is used for the accurate calculation of the oxygen that is needed to decompose the organic matter in the water in a biological way. Basically, the dissolved oxygen levels will be declined in case if BOD levels are high. This is the reason that the oxygen demand from the bacteria is high and they are consuming that oxygen from the dissolved oxygen in the water. The high level of BOD treated effluent might have various reasons and some of them are mentioned below. See them carefully and the proper will go a long way for lessening your BOD levels. 6. Low Oxygen Concentration

  3. Incomplete treatment of wastewater because of organic overloading Physical short-circuiting Low detention time or hydraulic Sludge accumulation and old sludge loss to the effluent High growth in algae or the sulfur bacteria 7. Production of Sludge The residue created by physical, biological, and chemical treatment is known as sludge. The main challenge which is completely environmental for the wastewater treatment is the excess sludge disposal that is generated while in the process. Safe and long-lasting solutions for the sludge destination generated by the wastewater treatment plants are important elements of the proper facility of sustainable functionality. The sludge recycling procedure contains various useful organic matters as well as nutrients in agriculture and these are found as the best solution. There are some more advanced treatment technologies available that are capable to lessen the sludge load by decreasing the production. These are a few common problems of Sewage Treatment Plant in India and these can be solved by following the proper resolution. It is advisable do not to try to fix the problems on your own. Call the professional experts for fixing the STP problems as they are known with the machinery things and other functioning so they will fix the issue properly so that you can resume your pending work.
