INTRODUCTION Vivekanand Vachan Mandir was registered as Library in Goa on 24th November 1999 It has 10,010 booksconsists of Novels, science, national geographic, Poems, Stories, essay books etc in all four languages. It also Provides ten different daily newspapers namely The Navhind Times, Herald, Gomantak, Tarun Bharat, Sunaparant Times of India, Goadoot, Lokmat, Navaprabha and Pudhari. It also provides various magazines and periodicals to childrens and youngsters such as Wisdom, ChampaK, Sports star etc.

  3. Membership in the library There are 507members in Library including student members. To become a member one have to fill the membership form with one passportsize photo and Rs. 50 as membership fees.

  4. VISITORS Everyday nearly 25 to 30 peoples visit this library. Students visit this library for getting information to their assignments and projects.

  5. Library Records Vivekanand Vachan Mandir actively keeps all the records like Visitors Records Books Register Records Magazine Records Newspapers Records Membership Records Childrens Membership ecords Donors Records

  6. Art And Culture Department of Goa provides funds to all Goan Public Libraries including Salaries of attendents. Rajaram mohan Roy Foundation Department of central library gives 50 books to the library every year.

  7. CONCLUSION Every village or cities should have Library. Library is a source by which one gets knowledge through books, magazines, newspapers etc. All the people, childrens gets different knowledge which they can use it in their daily life and also they can improve their reading habit.
