Health Care Providers 20 Minutes • Suggestions for a starting point for the healthcare provider • "I believe you and together we can try to reduce your pain and increase your activity so you can do more of the things that are important to you" • Reducing your pain by 30% might be all we can do. • Medication is a very small part of pain management. • There are many areas to work on so let's work on them one at a time.

Helpful Insights • When your patients says their pain is a 15/10 • It is a combined emotional and physical rating of their pain • It may include fear that you won't believe them. • It will reflect all the negative responses they have had. • When they start to trust that you do believe them you will get a more accurate score. • It reflects the experience of living with pain not just the pain.

In those 43,180 minutes every month I had the enormous task of accepting what has happened before learning new ways of: • doing my every day activities • thinking • adding meaning and purpose • arranging my environment. So during the 43,180 minutes, • I Need to adjust my: • Body • Mind • Spirit • Environment
