The KU Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth at Kansas University Medical Center (KUMC) is revolutionizing distance learning for medical students and residents. Utilizing the same video technology as telemedicine, students can engage in real-time lectures and consultations from anywhere. This system, currently employed in pediatrics and adult psychiatry, allows residents to gain valuable telemedicine experience. With advancements in smaller, mobile, and cost-effective video equipment, the future of medical education is becoming more accessible.
