  3. Data Access Tools • Standardized Website • WFO Climate interface • Access to WFO Climate Products • F-6 • CLI • RER • CLM • RTP • Additional Data availableat discretion of WFO • Daily updated web climate database Available through the local WFO page or www.weather.gov/climate

Data Access Tools • NOWdata • Free, limited access to ASOS and COOP data • 24/7 customer data inquiries • In partnership with NCDC and the Regional Climate Centers • Driven by standard database - RCC Applied Climate Information System (ACIS) Available through the local WFO page or www.weather.gov/climate

  5. LCD Backup • Events sometimes force observations at LCD sites to be made at backup locations (ex. Snowpaid). • Beginning in February 2007, the following information will be made available on the F-6 and published at NCDC when a backup site is used: • What element of observation • Distance to backup site • 8-point cardinal direction to backup site

  6. Paperless Initiative • Ensures more timely and accurate reporting of Cooperative Observer Network (COOP) data to customers, operations, and the national climate archive. • Focuses on transmission via internet and telephone with common databases.

  7. Data Quality Tools • Health of the Network • Identify local data errors • Limited access • http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/hofn • Datzilla • Data problem-reporting/tracking • Field corrections • Link to NOAA data archives • Limited access for users • Standardized NOAA quality control
