  1. Sebastian Herrera Barnuevo By Justin Yoon

  2. Introduction • Sebastian Herrera Barnuevo is known to be a painter, architect, architect, sculptor and etcher. He was born in 1619 and died in 1671. He was born and he also died in Madrid, which was part of Spain. His paintings and works were brilliant and harmonized in the manner of titan.

  3. More about him • His father was Antonio Herrera who was a sculptor. Sebastian was taught by his father and was also taught by Alonzo Cano who was another Spanish famous painter and architect. Like him, Sebastian worked and painted for Philip IV of Spain. Sebastian was said to be modest and very religious. On the Right is a portrait of a Spanish king by Alonzo Cano .

  4. about his accomplishments • Most of Sebastian Herrera Barnuevo’s paintings were in Madrid. • His best are considered the "St. Barnabas" in El Escorial, the Beatification of St. Augustine in the Chapel of the Augustinian Recollects and the Nativity in the San Jerónimo el Real. Another of his paintings is Retrato de Carlos II niño con su madre la Reina Mariana de Austria (Portrait of King Carlos II as a child, with his mother Queen Mariana of Austria). The king Charles II of Spain by Herrera Barnuevo

  6. Conclusion • I think that he was very devoted and interested in people and art. I think that he would have been very modest and concentrated in his work. He had a good view or art and never lost his interest. I respect him because he had made it possible for people to see and have a painting of themselves since there was no technology.
