  2. Purpose / Question Orientation for Outpatient Rehabilitation had not been updated recently. Needs for reorganization had been identified in the needs assessment as well as from employee complaints.

  3. Process • Committee met frequently over 6 month time period • Team divided sections, gathered information, and organized information • Team split information in three binders to further organize orientation information • Departmental Resources • Clinical Resources • Licensure and Practice Act (PT/OT)

  4. Outcome • Departmental Resources (divided into three sub-sections) • Departmental • VUMC/VCH phone numbers, Veritas, procedural forms • Computers • Physiotools, documentation, TEIDs) • Performance • Performance evaluations, rewards and recognition, compentencies, CAP

  5. Outcomes Cont. • Clinical/Procedural Resources (divided into three sub-sections) • Equipment • Available equipment for clinical use, chargeables, DME information • Procedures • documentation, scheduling, billing • Resources • Community information, staff therapist information, vendor information

  6. Outcomes Cont. • Licensure and Practice Act • Tennessee Practice and licensure/continuing education requirements for PT/OT
