  1. My Christmas book By Lindsey Stanley

  2. DEDACATION I dedicate my book to my papa because he showed me the bright side even if there wasn’t, for example when he was fighting cancer he never complained if he was in pain or if he didn’t like it. He was thankful for his children and grandchildren, even though he couldn’t be with us on Christmas he is still in our hearts. Copy right 2010 snowflake village publisher

  4. My family traditions My family traditions are we get our tree 2 weeks before Christmas, we all put our tree up and decorate, on Christmas Eve we get to open one present then on Christmas we get up around 9:00 to open our gifts and we are not allowed to touch our gifts under the tree because my dad hands them out to us first we open Santa’s gifts. table of contents forward back table of contents

  6. My family traditions I grew up with Santa because my parents thought it would be good for us to think that not just they put presents under the tree also to make us feel happy. I found out about Santa when my sister put a present under the tree for my little brother from Santa so I knew he wasn’t real. I felt sad but I was giggling too and by the way I was in grade 5. table of contents forward back table of contents

  8. 9. Christmas around the world in Nicaragua and how they believe in Santa. They don’t have Santa in stead they have "El Nino Dios" aka "baby Jesus". Baby Jesus leaves the presents on the foot of the bed when children are sleeping, That's because pine trees don’t grow in central America. So when they wake they hear the sound of wrapping paper when they’re moving their feet. table of contents forward back table of contents

Santa has an important role in the Christmas festivities in the country, St. Nicholas's feast is held on December 6 in the Netherlands. Gifts come from Saint Nicholas or his helpers known as Black Peters. On or around December 5 is the eve of Saint Nicholas' Day. In Netherlands it has long been a country of sailors and Saint Nicholas who is believed to be the patron saint of sailors there it is regarded here very highly. table of contents forward back table of contents

  13. Christmas around the world in Netherlands traditions Celebrations for the festival begin on the last Saturday of November. Prior to Christmas Day, many people decorate their homes and gardens with trees, the Christmas tree is called the paradise tree. Some people build wooden Christmas pyramids and decorate them with evergreens and candles. Many people attend church services on this day and spend the rest of the day quietly in the company of family or close friends. In some villages and towns, local actors renact the nativity scene playing the role of Mary and Joseph, Local farms lend donkeys or sheep to help the actors bring the scene alive. The performance is often accompanied by a choir or narrator reading from the bible. Many also visit local markets to shop for Christmas decorations, music, snacks and gifts. Gift giving is less popular because it is a Christmas custom in the country. Majority of the shops, banks and even the post offices remain closed on this day. table of contents forward back table of contents

Little Suzy was so sad she ran to her room and packed her stuff and said I am running away to the north pole cause I now he can get me the phone. But Suzy told her brother Sam and he sat her down and said Suzy Santa isn't real Suzy was devastated, then she ask does every one in the village thinks Santa is not real? Sam said Suzy yes everyone knows Suzy said no no he is real. I am gone like the wind Suzy said. I am on my way to the north pole! YA I am here at the north pole now I have to find Santa! Santa there he is, HO HO HO said Santa. He said how can I help you, I want a teen phone. Suzy you have to first make everyone believe in me, ok said Suzy. Ok I have to go on the plane back. Ok first I need to get the microphone every one believe in Santa every one. Suzy ran to her dad and said can you help me make everyone believe but, he still didn’t believe so he couldn’t help. 19. CHRISTMAS IS Christmas is to me more than just getting gifts it is spending time with your family and friends. I am not really greedy with my gifts I wouldn’t even care if I didn’t even get any. Christmas is a holiday to look at how lucky you are and how some people aren't. Christmas is the holiday to give back. This holiday to me is the biggest gift I need. Christmas is more than every thing it is the birth of Christ. table of contents forward back table of contents
