What it is Partial sums is adding in parts. Thousands then hundreds,then tens,then ones,so on and so forth.
How it works 1 To add using partial sums you add by placement. You add the hundreds together and put that where you would normally put the answer and then add the tens and put that under the under the hundreds and then add the ones and put it under the tens. And finally you all them together.
How it works 2 Let’s say you have 370+117. Then you would add your hundreds place then tens and then. ones place. Let me show you how it’s done.
