  4. Protagonist • Protagonist is the hero of the story • Protagonist is the good guy • Protagonist is the main character

  5. Antagonist • Antagonist is the bad guy • Antagonist is the opposite of the hero

  6. Exposition • Exposition is the beginning of the story • Or the story before the story • Exposition starts us off with the setting and the characters

  7. Rising Action • Rising Action are all of the events that lead up to the climax

  8. Climax • Climax is the turning point of the story • Climax is the most intense part of the story • Think of it as THE BIG FIGHT SCENE in action movies • Or when THE KILLER GETS KILLED in horror films • Or when THE GUY GETS THE GIRL in romantic movies

  9. Falling Action • Falling action is what comes after the climax
