“Filled Again”

Acts 4:23-31

“Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:19-20)

Sovereignty means God’s will overrides all circumstances, revealing His goodness in the worst of all agonies, even the death of Christ.

As a runner depletes physical energy through the loss of water and needs re-filling, so a Christian who expends spiritual energy needs revitalizing absorption of the Holy Spirit.

The New Testament church had minute, intellectual knowledge of the Holy Spirit, but a mighty, experiential knowledge of the Holy Spirit. Conversely, today’s church has a considerable knowledge of the Holy Spirit, but a minuscule experience of the Holy Spirit.
