The SkyHydrant™ is now available in roto-molded food grade polyethylene, as depicted in the photo. The compact flexible design of the SkyHydrant™ unit allows it to be operated in a range of configurations.   11. What's in a LifeBox? The LifeBox is filled with 72 items of tools, clothes, blankets, babycare/hygeine items, toys and classroom materials with the contents lists specifically tailored by the Red Cross, each box providing vital aid for adults and children. Most importantly in each box we place six LifeStraws, kindly donated by Rotary Club of Brynmawr Water Projects. The list of box contents is typical although special boxes can be made up very quickly to suit the demand and the nature of the Appeal. This is determined by liaising with aid operators on the ground. Educational/Classroom Boxes can accompany the LifeBox and if necessary boxes with additional LifeStraws will be sent.   14. WHAT IS LIFESTRAW LifeStraw is a portable water purification tool that cleanses surface water and makes it safe for human consumption. It is just 25 cm long and 29 mm in diameter and can be hung around the neck. LifeStraw requires no electrical power or spare parts. The life expectancy of a single straw can be up to one year from the start of usage (calculation based on consumption of 2 litre water per day) and so provides immediate aid and long term benefit.   39. Sudan: December 2010 With the elections that took place in Southern Sudan on the 9th of January, more than 300,000 refugees have been forced back to their homeland – to no shelter, water or food have been forced back to their homeland – to no shelter, water or food. Disaster Aid USA

  40. George Clooney has visited the border of Northern and Southern Sudan many times over the past years to get behind the need for action to assist these refugees and ensure they are safe. Clooney said “If you knew a tsunami or Katrina or a Haiti earthquake was coming, what would you do to save people?” Whilst we were preparing for our holiday festivities, two Australian DARTs (Disaster Aid Response Teams) were delivering our aid in the form of our Family Survival Packs to allow the returning refugees some dignity and shelter from the harsh elements.
