  25. High School Clubs • DIS offers High School students the opportunity to create clubs that are made then available to 9th through 12th grades. A “CLUB FAIR” is scheduled early in the year for students to recruit new members. • Clubs are student ledunder the guidance of facultyadvisers. • Clubs provide DIS students with leadership opportunities. • Club leaders organize structured meetings and activities that may take place on or off campus outside of regular class times. • As a group, members may attend events, host guest speakers, or organize community service activities. • Participation in these activities is emphasized in a student’s essay when they begin the university application process.
