  5. Payer – to pay je paie nouspayons tu paies vous payez il paie elles paient • Payer retains a y in the infinitive, nous and vous form. • Payer changes the y for an i in the boot form.

  6. La conjugaison des verbes -ir • Regular “ir” verb conjugation in present tense: • Take the infinitive (form with the “ir” ending). • Take off the “ir” ending. • Add on the appropriate endings: je – is nous – issons tu – isvous -issez il/elle/on – itelles/ils - issent
