  1. Pink-E-Pie’s Play Palace, Inc. May 2014 • What’s Happening? • We will be closed on May 26thin observance of Memorial Day. Please take a moment to give a silent thank you to all the hero's, men and women, that has lost their lives fighting for our country. We take our hats off to you and have the upmost respect. Thank You! • We are, or will soon, (when the weather decides to cooperate) be getting into warm sunny weather where sunscreen will be needed to protect your little ones face and body. If you would like us to apply sunscreen to your child on sunny days, please bring in a bottle with their name on it. • We want to remind parents that we have a labeled LOST & FOUND SOCK drawer located in the hallway that has the preschool cubbies. Unfortunately, socks can sometimes grow feet and walk away from your little ones own feet and when we run across them, we are not always able to identify whom they belong to. If your kiddo is missing some socks, please check out the drawer. • We need all families to talk to a member of management about your child's summer schedule. We need to make sure we know all schedules so that we are able to accommodate all schedules and family needs. Preschool News Ms. Alexandria This month, preschoolers will be learning about bugs and insects. We will discuss the life cycle of butterflies and look at the differences in insects, classifying them into categories such as walking, crawling, and flying bugs. We will also discuss the different types of transportation and their uses as well as animals and reptiles, by playing games like, what am I or who am I? My goal this month is to challenge them in remembering and being able to identify the many different kinds of characteristics between animals, insects, and cars. This is going to be exciting and I can’t wait to see their little minds grow. Bad Weather is Among Us We just wanted to inform parents that we practice tornado drills monthly and with tornado season among us, we will be sure to get some extra practices in. We ask all families to please have planned safe places in your home as well. Practice tornado drills as a family and plan where you would go to be safe. You can never be too safe.
