  3. Philosophy • Graduate with skills such as: • Responsibility • Intelligence • Compassion • Productive members of society

  4. Curricular Model • Personal Social Responsibility Model - Responsibility for ones own well being - Teach life skills and values via physical activity content - Responsibility for others well being - Respecting everyone's rights

  5. Students will develop the ability to cope with anxiety and anger. Students will show respect for self and others by showing up, no trash talking, listening and not interrupting. Continue to develop strategies to connect standards and professional development. Remain informed on issues related to physical education, particularly assessment related to personal social responisbility. Personal & Social Responsibility GOALS

Benchmarks • Students will create a personal fitness program that incorporates the five health related fitness components. • Assess personal health related fitness status • Set personal goals for activity and work toward achievement. • Recognize how participation in physical activity, influences appreciation for people of both genders, varying cultures and ethnic groups and those with various levels of physical ability or disability.

  7. Middle School • All five California state standards have been addressed and students have achieved competency in those standards. • Students can demonstrate fundamental tumbling skills as well as explain offensive and defensive strategies in different team sports.

  9. Summative Assessment • In order to assess the student’s teachers will be reading their journal entries and at the end will have to write a 2 page paper that will tie all that they have learned and how they will apply to the rest of their life.
