Contamination Water can be contaminated by: Micro organisms : Bacteria, Viruses, Protozoa, Metazoa Metazoa: Ascaris Ascariatis – Ingested eggs release larvae which matures to adult worms inside the human host. A female worm can produce up to 200.000 eggs/day.
