  1. Hopes & Dreams What are you hoping for in the future? What are you working towards in the future?

  2. We all have dreams for the future • One day I’m going to be... • I know what course I want to study in the future... • I am planning to follow the same career path as my mum...

  3. Unfairness • The British are famous around the world for our sense of fair play - and we are brilliant at responding positively, for example, to disasters that happen around the world. • Unfairness to one person is bad enough...what about to a whole continent? • If you could put something right you would, wouldn’t you?

  4. You have/you can...

  5. Wilson Aduwor - joint top of class at Kisii College, having dropped out of school for years beforehand. Went back and got exams thanks to WBHS. Man whose education was free! Innocent Jude - joint top of class with Wilson at Kisii College. No parents or family and also spent years out of school until sponsored by WBHS to complete his exams.

  6. Girls • Team Kenya is particularly interested in supporting girls as - for various reasons - they are more likely to drop out of school. • Research proves that helping girls to achieve in school is the single most important factor that can help a community out of poverty. • Watch this powerful video that illustrates this issue.

  8. A saying • Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day... • ..teach a man how to fish and you feed him for life.

  9. In reality • It’s about giving people the chance to show what they can do for themselves.

  10. We have made it less unfair... • A number of tutor groups are sponsoring students. THANK YOU. • This has changed people’s lives in Ndhiwa. • If your group agreed to give last year, you need to pay for the remainder of this school year, please. Don’t let it slip, especially at this time of year.

  11. Other ways to help • Come to the Winter Wonderland event this evening. • Watch out for future events and support us. • Pay your sponsorship money. • Make a donation?
