  4. Measuring Impact of NCRG • NCRG grant of $54,000 supported clinical trial of drug naltrexone at the University of Minnesota • Successful pilot led to $464,463 grant from the National Institutes of Health

  5. In 2000, NCRG established first U.S. research center focused on gambling disorders at Harvard Medical School

Institute for Research on Pathological Gambling and Related Disorders • Supports cutting-edge research • Awards 1/3 of its funds to non-Harvard institutions for research • Disseminates weekly online research reports to thousands of readers around the world • Co-sponsors annual NCRG conference on Gambling and Addiction

NCRG Annual Conference on Gambling and Addiction • Held every year in Las Vegas and is currently in its seventh year • Will be held this year from Nov. 12-14 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino • Draws international participants from a broad range of sectors involved in gambling issues, including government regulators, elected officials, scientific researchers, clinicians, gaming operators and manufacturers
