  2. Learning Management Systems • A convenient way for lecturers and students to interact online • Resources, assessment, communication • Easier to use by lecturers and students

  3. WATTLE is ‘moodle +’ • Based on ‘Moodle’ platform and additional technologies (such as Digital Lecture Delivery, Wimbacreate, CAMTASIA and so on) • Moodle is: • increasingly widely used; • open source; • able to do more things, including Web 2.0; • easy to use; • better supported

  4. WATTLE, right now • So, what does WATTLE look like? • Login at http://wattle.anu.edu.au • “Blocks”, “Topics”, “Resources” and “Activities” • Some examples…

  5. How do I start using WATTLE? • Program by program rollout • Start with a sandpit site whenever you like • All WebCT sites between now and S2, 2010. Others – as determined. • Developing LAW specific template • Different support for different programs depending on need, such as information sessions; 5@11; individual consulting; small group help sessions; teacher support sites • Help also available from wider support community: DOI; Netspot; Moodle community

  6. WATTLE events coming soon • Information and ‘try it out’ sessions x 2 – • Anyone (12-1pm 24 June – Law Link Theatre) • WebCT users (TBA) • WebCAST introduction (by 24 June) • Sandpits • New courses released: LLM & Migration Law- timetable available for others on website
