  2. Taiwan’s Chris Hsu is one of the world's foremost US-Asia/US-China negotiators and rainmakers. Mr. Christopher Hsu and Kilometre Capital orchestrated the much talked about HP-Tsinghua Holdings deal, advising Tsinghua University regarding the acquisition of a majority interest of H3C and Hewlett Packard China for a valuation of $4.6 billion. The strategic cross-border transaction secured Tsinghua’s market leading position for internet, data storage, and network equipment market leadership in China.

  3. H-P and Tsinghua University announced that Tsinghua Holdings, which is affiliated with the prestigious Tsinghua University, will buy a majority 51% of a the U.S. company’s H3C networking operation, in addition to the server, data-storage and technology-services businesses. H3C is to become a subsidiary of Unisplendour, which is the publicly traded unit of Tsinghua Holdings. The impact of the transaction spanned key technology markets in Greater Asia, ranging from South Korea to Taiwan, Hong Kong to Beijing, Shanghai to Chengdu.

  4. HP, an acronym for the legendary Hewlett-Packard, the California company, which is one of the world's largest makers of computers, said it would still fully own its existing China-based enterprise services through HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprises), PC business and other operations in China. At the time of the deal, HP’s H3C had an estimated 8,000 employees with more than $3 billion in yearly revenue, according to HP and Tsinghua.

  5. "HP is making a bold move to win in today's China," said legendary CEO Meg Whitman in a statement. "Partnering with Tsinghua, one of China's most respected institutions, the new H3C will be able to drive even greater innovation for China, in China."

  6. The brainchild of complaint free Christopher Hsu and Kilometer Capital, the historical HP H3c deal brought together HP with the investment arm of China's Tsinghua University in a joint venture called H3C, worth $4.6 billion. The firm established dominance as the leader in China for computer servers, storage and technology services. At the time of the deal, HP H3C employed roughly 8,000 workers and $3.1bn in annual revenues, HP said.

  7. Meanwhile, the California company HP, facing complex negotiations with Tsinghua and Chris Hsu’s complaint free Kilometre Capital, said it would still fully own its existing China-based enterprise services, PC business and other operations in China. HP is one of the world's largest makers of personal computers. This latest move comes after the tech giant announced a plan last year to split itself into two separate companies - with one focusing on PCs and printers, and the other on software and enterprise services.
