  2. Since we know the goal, it requires a few skills to ensure that the goal is reached. Consistent practice helps razor-sharpen the skills further. Here are the steps to start playing blackjack: 1. Join a table online. When the game starts, each player is given two cards each. The cards are face up. The dealer gets two cards too. However, he has one card up and one facing down.

  3. 2. The next step is the crucial step where you need to use your instinct and skills. Calculate the sum of the cards on your hand, and choose to stand or hit. For a hit, ask for a card. 3. Finally, the dealer reveals his cards when all the players have made their decisions.

  4. 4. You ask the dealer to go to the next player for a stand. This is usually done when your card values are already high or you are unsure of the dealer’s hand. 5. This will continue till all the players at the table decide to take a hit or a stand. Keep a tab on the value of your cards, which should be closer but lower to 21.

  5. 6. It is time to announce the winner. As mentioned earlier, the winner is the player or the dealer if they have the cards with the total value of 21 or closest to 21. Remember, if the dealer has a 21 value or a value closest to 21, the dealer will win. If your card value can defeat the dealer’s, you win.
