  2. Aloe Vera Health benefits and its uses • Thick, muscular leaves of Aloe Vera grow directly from root, its extract contains glucosides. The main component Alone is light yellow glucoside, called barbiloine. In addition, it contains a resin and fragrant oil.

It is purgative, and beneficial for eyes, is a rejuvenator. • Aloe Vera is a wonderful plant with multitudinous beneficial health effects. Its pulp is used both ways in external application and as a medicine. Take pulp of Aloe and add little amount of powder of daruhaldi (turmeric) on it. Heat the pulp slightly and apply on the painful area of any part of body. It cures vata and kapha related headache.

It is also beneficial in viral conjunctivitis. • Take its 1 gm pulp and add 375 mg poppy seeds in it. Tie this mixture in a piece of cloth on the eyes. Also put 1-2 drops of this mixture in the eyes. It cures pain in eyes.

Take 6 gm of its pulp, 6 gm cow’s ghee (clarified butter), 4 gm haritaki powder and 1 gm rock salt. Mix them all and give this to the patient every morning and evening. It cures flatulence. Taking 10-20 ml juice of Indian Aloe, twice a day cures disorders of pitta nature. Its Juice can be given to the patient as nasya to inhale through nose and cures nasal disorders.”- AcharyaBalkrishna

Aloe Vera health benefits and its uses • 3-6 gm of its juice taken with butter milk cures spleen and liver enlargement, flatulence pain and also cures any disorders of digestive system. • ‘Aasava’ of Aloe can be prepared easily. Take 2 parts of juice of its leaves, along with 1 part of honey. Store them in a glass vessel. Close the mouth of the vessel with a tight lid and keep it in the sun for a week. After a week, strain the solution. Taking this medicine in quantities of 10-20 gm every morning and evening cures spleen disorders. Its excess amount works like purgative. But appropriate amounts regularize stool and vata, strengthens the liver its functioning is normalized.

  9. Aloe Vera health benefits and its uses • Applying the paste of Aloe melts warts. Apply pulp of Aloe on the burnt area. It cures the burning sensation and prevents formation of boils. Paste made by grinding aloe with catechu can be applied on the ulcer. • In case the ulcer is unripe, mix a little amount of sodium bicarbonate and turmeric in the pulp of Indian Aloe and apply it on the ulcer. It helps the ulcer heal faster.

Tie it on the tumor. Incurable ulcers due to radiation can be cured with the extraordinary medicine.
