  1. MCS-150 Update Processing Issues

  2. MCS-150 Update Processing Issues State Reported • FMCSA contractor sending MCS-150s with errors back to State DMVs for correction after 3 attempts to contact the carrier have been unsuccessful • FMCSA has asked contractor to discontinue this policy Reported by FMCSA Contractor • MCS-150 packages sent to FMCSA contractor are not marked to designate what has or has not been entered in MCMIS • Proposal: If enter any MCS-150 data changes in MCMIS, Enter All Changes on Form

  3. MCS-150 Update Processing Issues Reported by FMCSA Contractor • MCS-150 forms sent to contractor with obvious data changes on the form that need to be entered in MCMIS. However, MCS-150 date of last update has already been changed in MCMIS but none of the data has been entered • Contractor then has to enter entire form as a “correction”

  4. MCS-150 Update Processing Issues Reported by FMCSA Contractor • Pre-Printed MCS-150 data in IRP renewal packages from 4 States contained erroneous data in certain fields • PRISM Tech Support Has Already Made Significant Progress in Resolving with the States • State(s) sending carrier’s online update confirmation page to contractor • No need to do this

  5. MCS-150 Update Processing Issues Reported by FMCSA Contractor • State(s) holding on to paper MCS-150 forms “to long” before sending them to FMCSA contractor • Carrier gets impatient waiting for new data to be entered and then updates online • Then older paper form arrives at FMCSA contractor
