  1. Unexplained Mysteries: sasquatch. Reference: Granny (Chilcotinelder) Well we believe in sasquatch because our elders told a lot of stories to us . This dates back to the 1900’s when I was talking to my granny about Sasquatch. She said they have sprits like us. They can smile, we can smile. They can laugh. We can laugh. Also they talk, and we talk. We respect ourselves, we respect them. Well when I was talking to my grandpa about this he said we don’t treat them like animals . We treat them like humans. That kind of shocked me. All the Elders believe in sasquatches. Also there’s a place called sasquatch country. Its around here but the elders said to me that I cant tell any one where it really is. It is a secret for only Chilcotin people to know. Well that’s what they said so I cant tell any more or else it will be wrong. I don’t want the disapproval of my granny and the elders. By: Marcus
