  2. Something You Remember • My ticket to Grimm. • This past summer my uncle took my family and I to Circus Juventas’s production, Grimm. It was quite a bit of fun, a dramatic acrobatic theater of sorts, with everything from tightrope to German wheel, and everything in between.

  3. Something Warm • My laptop • This can be taken in quite the literal sense. I can remember opening the box up on Christmas morning two years ago, and how it has warmed my lap during those cold winter months when all you do is stay inside and sit in front of a screen.

  4. Something from Long Ago • Starlight & Charlotte • These are two items I have had since I was either two or three. Each one is from one of my different grandmas, and these two guys have always been good friends when no one’s been there.

  5. Something That Makes You Cry • Taiyou no Uta (A Song to the Sun) • Taiyou no Uta is the only movie that has truly made me start bawling. The ending scene where Yui’s, a popular Japanese singer and also the female lead in this film, song “Goodbye Days” plays as everyone after the girl’s death hears her song on the radio really just hit home for me.

  6. Something that Makes You Laugh • My friend Hayley’s “guerilla note.” • I look back on this and it always makes me laugh. It was something totally random and she is one of my closest friends, so this also brings me some sort of humorous joy.

  7. Something as Precious as Gold • My Great Grandma Taylor’s state flower sheet • This item was once in my dad’s possession, but now he has passed it onto me. It is very precious because it is very old and there is not one thing quite like it in the world.
