Corporate Culture The Sponsor Effect – HBR 2011 • “Gender Fatigue.” • Male CEOs simply don’t see the lack of women around them, conditioned by decades of women’s initiatives. • 56% of men (compared with only 39% of women) think that women have made considerable progress at their companies over the past ten years. • 58% of men say that the reason for the progress is that their company has been trying harder to promote women. • 57% of women say it is because women have made great strides in terms of performance and educational credentials.
